Paws Fur the Holidays fundraiser to be held today
RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – The Ocooch Mountain Humane Society’s (OMHS) largest fundraiser of the year, “Paws Fur the Holidays,” was held on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Richland Center Community Center.
Activities at the popular pre-holiday celebration include a Paws Fur the Holidays Sweet Walk. Donated holiday treats for the walk can be brought in between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Another popular feature is the Santa Paws Giving Tree. Stop by the tree, take one of the ornaments from the tree, buy the suggested gift and drop it off at the OMHS shelter. Other activities include kid-friendly games, a silent auction, a bucket raffle, dog games & competitions, a food stand and more.
Also, at 10:30 a.m., Lisa and Uncle Butzie will be in the Community Center Meeting Room. Uncle Butzie is a Turkey Vulture and Lisa Hartman is a vulture researcher who will introduce you to the amazing world of Turkey Vultures in Wisconsin.
