Allen Teach, of Sunrise Orchards in Gays Mills, has been awarded the American Fruit Grower Apple Grower of the Year Award.
Teach, a third-generation apple grower literally grew up in the business, works every aspect of the business – pruning, crop management, customer relations – Allen is involved in all of it.
His is a legacy business, it’s the life he chose – and that chose him. A family tradition of more than sixty years, Sunrise Orchards owns a piece of the man, which is just the way he wants it.

Adam Hess has been involved in radio broadcasting since 1990, with many of those years spent on the air at WRCO FM in Richland Center. Currently, Adam hosts the Weekend Wake-up and Prime Mover Saturdays on WRCO FM, jumps in and helps out with news duties, handles Social Media duties for WRCO and WRCE, and is the Director of Technology at a Southwest Wisconsin School District.
