
Richland School Board holds reorganization meeting
The Richland School Board held its reorganization meeting Wednesday night (April 22) following the spring election earlier this month. Incumbents Tiffany Thompson, Sheila Troxel, and Jill Sharp were re-elected to serve a three year term and were given the oath of office. Erin Unbehaun was once again voted in as president and Scott Behling as vice-president of the Richland School Board by acclamation. Tiffany Thompson was voted in as Board Clerk, Brian Miller as Treasurer, and Sheila Troxel as Acting Clerk. Erin Unbehaun was elected as the delegate to attend the annual Delegate Assembly at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) Convention in January, and Tiffany Thompson as the alternate. Scott Behling was elected to serve as the Richland School District Foundation Representative. Jill Sharp was elected as the Cooperative Education Service Agency (CESA) representative to serve at the convention of school board representatives in August, with Scott Behling elected as the alternate.
In other action, the Richland School Board:
Accepted the resignation of Terri Kaszubski, Primary School Special Education Teacher, effective at the conclusion of the current school year..
The hiring of Caleb Mueller as a Technology Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year.
Three open enrollment out applications for the current school year.
And, the erection of batting cages next to the high school softball field.
Following closed session the board also approved:
An employee benefits renewal package for 2026-27, with health insurance increases not to exceed 9.06%.
And, a five-year transportation contract with Kobussen, LLC, beginning July 1, with an annual increase not to exceed 5%.
