
RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – A crash Friday afternoon on US Highway 14 east of Richland Center resulted in injuries and road closure.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department reports that at approximately 1:30, first responders were dispatched to a two vehicle crash on US Highway 14 near Premier Coop.
The investigation showed that a straight truck crashed into the rear of a semi that was hauling corn. Highway 14 was completely blocked and both drivers sustained injuries.
One driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Richland Center Fire Department.
One driver was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The second driver was transported by UW Medflight. Highway 14 was closed for approximately three hours.
At this time the identities of the drivers are being withheld pending further investigation.
