2 appointed to DATCP Board
MADISON, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – Governor Evers has announced the reappointment of Cindy Brown and the appointment of Andy Hatch to the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) Board.
Cindy Brown has dedicated her career to being a champion for agriculture. Brown has increased the visibility of women in agriculture by serving in leadership roles in both domestic and international trade organizations. She is the immediate Past-President of the Global Pulse Confederation. Brown served as President of Chippewa Valley Bean from 2011 – 2025 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board.

Andy Hatch was born in Wisconsin and studied Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin, where he apprenticed with Master Cheesemaker Gary Grossen. He apprenticed in several countries, including Norway, France, Italy, and England.

Hatch has since returned to Wisconsin to operate and eventually purchase Uplands Cheese, a dairy farm in Dodgeville, where he now lives, milks cows, and makes two award-winning two cheeses.

Adam Hess has been involved in radio broadcasting since 1990, with many of those years spent on the air at WRCO FM in Richland Center. Currently, Adam hosts the Weekend Wake-up and Prime Mover Saturdays on WRCO FM, jumps in and helps out with news duties, handles Social Media duties for WRCO and WRCE, and is the Director of Technology at a Southwest Wisconsin School District.
