Juvenile injured in bike versus truck accident med-flighted to Madison

Yesterday (Tuesday) emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of County Highway RC and Raymond Lane for a report of a vehicle versus bicycle crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates a truck traveling eastbound on County Highway RC attempted to navigate around a juvenile who was riding a bicycle, also traveling eastbound on Highway RC. The juvenile veered into the lane of traffic and the operator of the truck was unable to avoid the bicycle. The juvenile sustained injuries as a result of the collision.
Emergency medical personnel provided treatment at the scene before transporting the juvenile to the Richland Hospital. Due to the severity of the injuries, the juvenile was transported by Med Flight to the University of Wisconsin Hospital for further medical care.
