RC Softball wins regional championship in thrilling 12-inning win at G.E.T

The Richland Center softball team won a regional championship on Thursday night when they endured a 12-inning marathon and edged Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau 1-0. Sophomore pitcher Kyree Fischer pitched an instant classic with 24 strike outs, 2 walks, and 4 hits given up. She drove in the game’s only run in the 12th inning on a sacrifice.
The Hornets will play at Adams Friendship on Tuesday night in the Sectional semifinal.
Adam Hess has been involved in radio broadcasting since 1990, with many of those years spent on the air at WRCO FM in Richland Center. Currently, Adam hosts the Weekend Wake-up and Prime Mover Saturdays on WRCO FM, jumps in and helps out with news duties, handles Social Media duties for WRCO and WRCE, and is the Director of Technology at a Southwest Wisconsin School District.
