Fatal crash between a truck and an Amish buggy

In Lafayette County, a fatal crash between a truck and an Amish buggy occurred on State Highway 23, Tuesday at 4:18 PM. The buggy, driven by Joseph Z Glick, 56, of Mineral Point, was traveling northbound when it was struck from behind by a northbound 2020 Chevrolet Colorado pickup driven by Brett D Durni, 36, of Dodgeville. Joseph Glick was pronounced dead at the scene. The horse pulling the buggy was severely injured and had to be euthanized. The driver of the truck was not injured. This incident is the second motor vehicle fatality in Lafayette County in 2026.
