
Richland Center won 11-0 in 5 innings over Wisconsin Dells in area softball Tuesday night. The Hornets won the non-conference tune up before the WIAA tournament begins next week and improved to 16-3. The Dells fell to 8-15 with the loss.
The leading hitters for Richland Cente were Jaycee Gander who was 2 for 3 with an rbi, Abaigeal Williams tripled and scored twice. Kyree Fischer doubled and scored, Aubrey Kohlstedt, Tatum Reyzek, and Ella Clements all had hits. Kyree Fischer had another outstanding performance as she struck out 11.without a walk and yielded 2 hits. The 4th inning was what is known as an immaculate inning as she struck out 3 batters on the minimum of 9 pitches. Jaycee Gander came on to pitch to the games final 3 batters.
Memphis Jenson and Alyssa Westedt pitched for the Chiefs. Nyellie Delmore and Westedt each had a hit.
With the 11-0 win, Richland Center will continue to work on getting ready for the post season. They will travel to Iowa Grant on Thursday. Wisconsin Dells will open the WIAA tournament with a play in game Thursday at Reedsburg.
