Morel Mushroom Festival starts today, runs through weekend

Tonight (Friday) the 45th Annual Morel Mushroom Festival gets underway and will run through Sunday (May17) in Muscoda. Events start at 5:00.
Tonight there will also be an Antique & Farm Tractor Pull at 6:00. Tomorrow’s events include a Pancake Breakfast from 7:00 to 11:00 at St. John’s Gym, a Chili Cook-off starts at 7:00 with judging at 1:00, Also, during the morning, there will be activities the kids and family will enjoy.
Kindschi Pedal Pulls will be at 11:00 and the Parade will step-off at 3:00. Following the parade there will be a performance by the Wisconsin Badger Marching Band. Tomorrow night the Muscoda Fire Department Steak Feed starts at 4:30 and Fireworks will be shot off at dusk. Throughout the day tomorrow there will be a tasting area, vendors, live music, tours, presentations and much more. Sunday will be the final day of the festival featuring Cowboy Church at 9:30 and a Cornhole Tournament at Noon.
