Riverdale won a SWAL girls basketball game at home over Boscobel, 63-42, on Friday night.  The Chieftains used their best first half of the year and ran out to a 40-21 lead. In the 2nd half, they held off any Boscobel comeback thoughts and they avenged a loss earlier in the season to the Bulldogs.

They were led in scoring by Macy McCay with 18, Bailey Harris added 11, Allie Goplin made three 3 pointers for 9 points, Jocelyn Adams had 8 points all in the first half, Ava Kratzenburg had 6, Megan Kruel totaled 4,  Hailey Schneider, Lily Barr, and Mallory Meiss each had 2 and Irelyn Meiss scored 1.  The Chieftains were 8 for 21 from the free throw line.

The Bulldogs were led by Addison Rounds with 18, Kylee Johnson scored 8, Aubrey Seep scored 6, Maya Baumeister scored 4, Tessa Martin and Mckenzie Tamling each had 2. Boscobel was 12 for 27 from the line.

Chieftain Seniors Allie Goplin, Lily Barr, Mallory Miess, Macy McKay, and Megran Kreul were honored in a special pregame program.

With the win 63-42, Riverdale is now 10-9.  They will play at River Ridge on Tuesday night. Coach Erik Kinney’s Boscobel team is now 7-11.  They will play at River Valley on Tuesday night.
