On Tuesday night around 5:20p, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a car vs. farm tractor rollover crash, on Highway 35/61, near Badgerland Auto, in Paris Township. Along with Grant County Sheriff Deputies, Dickeyville EMS, Dickeyville Fire Department, Potosi EMS, and Jamestown First Responders were dispatched to the scene.
When deputies arrived, they learned Shawn Dietzel, 28 of Cuba City, was operating a farm tractor northbound on Hwy 35/61. At the same time, Gary Ledbury, 74 of Potosi, was also traveling northbound in in his vehicle and did not see the tractor in front of him. He collided with the rear end of the tractor, causing the tractor to roll into the ditch and onto it’s side. Both Shawn Dietzel and Gary Ledbury were transported to hospitals due to injuries sustained during the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
