EMS and the Innovation Grant discussed at Richland County Committee meeting
Funding for and accepting a proposal from Strategic Management and Consulting of Wisconsin Dells for services regarding the provision of EMS and the Innovation Grant were discussed at the Richland County Executive & Finance Standing Committee last night (Tuesday). There has been ongoing discussions surrounding the best way to provide EMS services to a large area in Richland County currently being provided by Richland Ambulance Services. The decision was made to have a consultant come in and assess the situation and provide recommendations.
The proposal from Strategic Management and Consultation allows for the opportunity for the county to apply for the Innovation Grant if the decision is made that the county would not be the one to provide the service. The deadline for the grant is March 31. The cost of the contract with Strategic Management and Consulting is $35,000.
After much discussion by the Standing Committee the members voted to send the resolution onto the full board of supervisors for approval.
