A former Richland County Supervisor has died. Mildred “Millie” Rott, 90 of Lone Rock, died Sunday (January 11). Millie graduated from Lone Rock High School and went on to the Richland County Normal School, UW Richland and UW Platteville.

She taught school for a number of years before becoming involved in politics. She was elected as the first woman to the Richland County Board where she spent 15 years. She was a member of the Lone Rock Village Board for 40 years and 14 of those were as Village President.

Millie also worked in the State Capital for 10 years as Administrative Assistant to Senator Barb Lorman. She was also instrumental in forming the Lone Rock Historical Society.

Funeral services Millie Rott will be at a later date.

Adam Hess has been involved in radio broadcasting since 1990, with many of those years spent on the air at WRCO FM in Richland Center. Currently, Adam hosts the Weekend Wake-up and Prime Mover Saturdays on WRCO FM, jumps in and helps out with news duties, handles Social Media duties for WRCO and WRCE, and is the Director of Technology at a Southwest Wisconsin School District.
