WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WFHR / WIRI) – The city’s new website has been active for several months. The change to the web address is slight, and the old link will still send you to the new site. The new site address is wirapids.gov.

A cross-departmental staff work group collaborated with the website vendor to design and develop this new platform. The new website is intended to make it easy for residents to stay informed and in touch with city officials.

Homepage

On the homepage, you’ll see quick links to report an issue, see city meetings and agendas, find info on garbage and recycling pickup, learn about current and upcoming street closures, pay bills, find election info, and explore area parks. Lower on the homepage, you’ll find City News, the City Calendar, and a link to the City’s Facebook page.

Tabs at the top of the homepage will help you find what you’re looking for if it’s not in the quick links. These tabs include city government and city departments. The last three include information for business, residents, and what you’ll find in the community.

Meeting notifications

You’ll need to sign into the new website before you can subscribe to meeting notifications. The link is at the top right of the homepage. Once you verify your email address, you can decide what notifications you’d like to receive. You have the option to receive them by email or text or both. If you only want email, once you’ve checked the email box, you’re done. For notifications by text, click on the little phone icon, enter your phone number, and click on save.

If you’ve still been receiving meeting notifications since the new website launched on July 30, those carryover notifications stopped on Oct. 17. You’ll need to follow the above directions to continue receiving notifications.
