Administrator at Pine Valley Community Village addresses E. coli detection

RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – Following the presence of E. coli bacteria detected in the water supply, Pine Valley Community Village is updating residents, families, staff, and the community of its plans to investigate and mitigate its water concerns.

The Village continues to emphasize that the health and safety of its residents and staff remain the top priority.

Pine Valley first discovered the presence of bacteria in the water supply during routine monitoring at the end of September. Brittany Paulus is the Nursing Home Administrator at Pine Valley Community Village.

Pine Valley continues to implement water safety protocols, including the use of bottled water for drinking, food preparation, bathing, and other needs. Corrective and investigative actions are also being implemented.

 
All residents will continue to be monitored closely and families will be kept updated. Officials with the Pine Valley Community Village are working closely with local and state health authorities to ensure the safety of the water supply and will provide further updates as soon as test results confirm the water is safe for normal use.
