MUSCODA, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – Cuba City put on an impressive performance and spoiled Riverdales’ Thursday night homecoming festivities.  The Cubans won in three sets: 15-12, 15-12, and 15-13 over the Chieftains, respectively.

Cheyanne Houtakker had nine kills to lead the visitors. The Cubans serving was effective. Emma Johl had four aces in the 3rd and final set.

Macy McCay had five kills and an ace for the Chieftains. Lilly Bahr scored two kills in the 3rd and final set.  The Chieftains fell to 2-3 with the loss, and Cuba City improved to 5-1.

Riverdale won the JV match two sets to one, with a 15-11 win in the 3rd.

The Chieftains will play at Pecatonica on Tuesday night, Oct. 7.  Cuba City will appear in the Richland Center tournament Saturday.
