
Grant County crash causes serious injury, OWI charges
The Grant County Sheriff's Office was notified of the crash in the Township of North Lancaster Friday afternoon around 2:50p.
GRANT COUNTY, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – A one vehicle rollover crash resulted in injury.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the crash in the Township of North Lancaster Friday afternoon around 2:50p. When a Deputy arrived on scene they learned Michael Tillotson, 51 of Bagley, was traveling northbound on Govier Road, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road.
The vehicle went off the roadway and struck a line of round bales, causing the vehicle to roll and come to rest on it’s roof, on top of the round bales. Tillotson was injured in the crash and initially transported to Grant Regional Health Center by Lancaster EMS, and was then transported to UW Health in Madison by Iowa AirCare.
As a result of the crash, Michael Tillotson was cited for OWI, second Offense, Failure to Maintain Control, and Operating While Suspended. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Lancaster Fire and EMS.
