A single vehicle crash in Vernon County results in injuries

RURAL STODDARD, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – A single vehicle crash resulted in serious injuries Sunday afternoon, May 25.
At approximately 3 p.m., the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting the crash near the intersection of County Road O and Sylvan Glen Road in rural Stoddard, in the town of Bergen. Don C. Zink, 90 of Stoddard, was traveling west on County Road O when he went off the roadway in a sharp curve to the right, struck the ditch, and came to rest in an open field.
Serious injuries were suspected, and Zink was transported to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse by Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance.
As of Tuesday morning, Don Zink remained in stable condition.
