Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies busy on Sunday

Sunday afternoon, at approximately 3:13, the Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop at U.S Highway 18 and Bennett Road in the City of Dodgeville. As a result of the stop, John M. Shipp, 41 of Beaver Dam, was arrested on charges of Operating While Suspended, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of THC (2nd Offense), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia to Manufacture Methamphetamine, and Bail Jumping – Felony (x2). Shipp was transported to the Iowa County Jail, where he is currently being held.

Also Sunday evening, at approximately 6:50, the Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop at U.S. Highway 18-151 and County Road Y in the Township of Dodgeville. As a result of the stop, Stanley Wilkerson, JR, 45 of Mineral Point, was arrested on Possession of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Wilkerson was transported to the Iowa County Jail, where he is currently being held.
