WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Democrat Christian Phelps has been called the winner of the race for the 93rd Assembly District in Wisconsin.
The Associated Press made the call on Wednesday.
The Democratic Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered likely Democrat with a projected margin of 12 points.
Phelps won the primary to be the Democratic candidate in this race, defeating Nickolas Butler in a narrow victory by about 300 votes. Phelps has worked as the communications director for the Wisconsin Public Education Network and is on the board of trustees of the Eau Claire Public Schools Foundation.
Phelps defeated Republican opponent James Rolbiecki, who is on the Town of Washington board.
The 93rd Assembly District includes parts of Eau Claire, Trempealeau, and Dunn counties in western Wisconsin.
