The Sauk County boy authorities believe ran away to live in the woods has now been missing for a year. Family, friends and strangers gathered for a vigil Wednesday night, one year since James Yablonski left his Reedsburg home. He was 13, and brought the family’s car to the bluffs in Baraboo.
Officials believed at first he was living in the woods, but he was never found in exhaustive searches. The FBI is working with the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office to find James. A detective tells WMTV there’s no evidence to support him being kidnapped, deceased, or that any family member was involved in his disappearance.
