A plane crashed near the Richland Center Municipal Airport in Sextonville Thursday night. The Richland County Dispatch received a 911 call around 6:05 regarding the crash near County Highway BA, north of the airports runway. The plane was located in a field off of County Highway BA, just north of Nebraska Hollow Road. Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency personnel arrived on scene to assist in the extrication of the victim from the airplane, Mark Baenen, 54 of Spring Green. UW med flight was contacted and transported Mark Baenen to the UW Health University Hospital for his injuries. The National Transportation Safety Board has been contacted.
