CHICAGO (Civic Media) – The Milwaukee Brewers are off to a winning start in 2023.
After dropping last Thursday’s Opening Day game against the Chicago Cubs 4-0, Milwaukee won Saturday’s game 3-1 and Sunday’s contest 9-5 to take the first series of the season.
In Sunday’s win, every Brewers batter recorded a hit. Milwaukee did not hit a home run in the three-game series at Wrigley Field, but still won the series.
Now, the Brewers (2-1) take on the New York Mets (3-1) in Milwaukee’s home opener, the first time the Brewers have ever played the Mets to begin the home portion of the schedule. Freddy Peralta of the Brewers will face Carlos Carrasco of the Mets. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. at American Family Field. Monday’s game begins a seven-day, six-game homestand.
